The rate to Victoria via the United Kingdom is calculated in two stages: 6d for each Yz oz CGH to UK and
6d Yz oz UK to Victoria [via Brindisi, San Francisco or by French Packet]. This gives a combined paid rate
of ls Od for each Yz oz from which has to be deducted Id as both 6d rates include delivery in the UK [transit
being the equivalent of delivery for foreign mails. Twice ll d gives the 1 s 1 Od rate paid.
