In the I930's, Boy Scouts and Girl Guides of Lithuania had a very active time, including several
large camps. In I940, Lithuani an Scouting was di sbanded by the Russ ians. For many years,
until the collapse of the Soviet Union, Lithuanian Scouts continued their activities in exile,
mainly located in Sweden, USA and Canada. Scouting is again legal and active in Lithuania.
