With rapidly dwindling stocks of Banknote Corp of America-printed revenue stamps, and no sign of
replacement stock contracted to Garsu Pasauls of Lithuania, Sri Lanka's government printer hastily
produced provisional RSOO and RlOOO values. These saw active duty from 20th May 2007 until the
eventual arrival of the Garsu Pasauls-printed revenues in November of the same year. Although one
million of each of the emergency revenues was printed, only a fraction were issued and even fewer
used. In fact, their short shelf life means their existence has largely been missed by collectors and
catalogue editors.
