Handstruck 10¢ and Taxe ‘T’

17 October 1935 - Freetown to Birmingham, England

The envelope has been prepaid at 1½d instead of the 2d surface rate at this time, thus attracting the taxe
mark T and the 10¢ postage due. The charge has been correctly calculated as double the ½d deficiency, 1d,
converted to 10 gold centimes.
The 1D / TO PAY / 75 handstamp was struck in Birmingham and the 1d postage due adhesive was used in the
same city.
