In 1935 the surface mail rate to the United Kingdom was 2d. As this cover was franked at only ½d, there was
postage due of 3d, ie double the deficiency. This was indicated by taxe T and 30¢ (gold centimes) handstamps.
The large 3d / FB K handstamp and 3d postage due label were applied in London.
